We are excited to invite you to En Plein Heir: A Paint Out Celebrating the Beauty of Family Land, a curated outdoor painting experience and fundraiser hosted by the Center for Heirs’ Property. Join us on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, for a full day of art, history, exploration, and community on historic Sullivan’s Island.
Whether you are a seasoned plein air painter or brand new to working outdoors, artists of all skill levels are welcome.
Event Highlights
Spend the day immersed in one of the most historically rich landscapes in the Lowcountry as you create artwork inspired by sites such as:
- SC250 American Revolution battle locations
- Family land and historic churches
- Waterways and scenic lookouts
- Fort Moultrie and the surrounding historic district
- Local fire stations and more
What Your Registration Includes
Your artist registration provides:
- Access to the Fort Moultrie Museum
- A guided historical tour of Sullivan’s Island, honoring the nation’s 250th birthday and Revolutionary War Heritage
- A live painting demonstration perfect for beginners with Chris Bilton of Bilton Arts Studio
- A full Paint Out experience across treasured cultural and historical locations
- An evening mixer connecting artists, landowners, and community supporters
- Opportunities to showcase your artwork created during the event
