Dr. Tatiana Height
American Forest Foundation (AFF)
Dr. Tatiana (Tots) Height is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the American Forest Foundation’s (AFF) Family Forest Carbon Program. Tots has been with AFF for five years and has a Bachelor of Arts in Great Plains Studies and a Master of Community and Regional Planning degree, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in addition to a doctorate in Agricultural and Extension Education from NC State University. Prior to joining the AFF team, Tots worked in urban planning, water management, and environmental justice.
Kevin S. Burkett, CPA

Kevin Burkett has worked with Cooperative Extension for the past eight years. Currently he serves as an Extension Associate with Clemson Cooperative Extension. His programming focuses on farm financial management in an effort to help farmers and landowners be profitable and sustainable. Kevin also has his CPA license and provides tax education to farmers, tax practitioners, and others.
Alaina Ring
New Leaf Climate
Alaina Ring is a researcher working with New Leaf Climate as an Agroforestry Consultant. She has a colorful background that includes academic research, farming, herbalism, forestry, outdoor education and guiding. During her master’s at the University of Maine and then as an ORISE fellow with USDA’s National Agroforestry Center, her research has focused on the challenges that limit seed and plant supply for agroforestry and reforestation. Beyond the desk, her knowledge is rooted in practical experience with forestry and farming and a love for plant medicine.
