Director of Forestry
Vince Keeler is a native of Coffeeville, Mississippi and has 15 years of experience as a Forester. Prior to joining the Center for Heirs Property Preservation as the Director of Forestry in 2016, Vince worked with the United States Forest Service and served in capacities ranging from Harvest Inspector to Timber Management Officer and Acting Timber/Range Staff Officer.
Since 2001, he has served in both technical and leadership roles on the Frances Marion & Sumter, Kisatchie, Klamath, and Shasta-Trinity National Forests. Most recently, Vince served as a Deputy District Ranger on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
His background and focus on resilient ecosystems and natural resource management practices, community collaboration, and building healthy partnerships led him to a number of leadership opportunities such as member of the President of the McKinzie family scholarship foundation and Shasta-Trinity Executive Leadership Team. Vince received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Natural Resource Management at Tuskegee University.
