Katherine (Kate) was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and was a long-time resident of the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Upon re-marrying, she moved to Charleston, which she loves along with the sunny weather! She studied psychology at Purdue University in Indiana and, in 1990, she received her paralegal certificate, graduating first in her class with honors.
Kate has over 25 years of legal experience, principally in the fields of estate planning and probate law. Since 2013, she has worked in the field of insurance defense litigation. She has taken many continuing education classes over the span of her career, and she is very happy to return to the wills, estate and probate field of the law.
Kate enjoys all people, and is very happy to have joined the Center in January 2017 as its Paralegal where she prepares legal documents and transactions, and further provides assistance to applicants and clients.
